William's musical journey started at age 13. Following the sudden and tragic death of a parent, William (lovingly refered to as Gooch) joined a youth choir to get his mind off the grief of loss. From there his love of music grew into something much bigger. He studied piano for a year and percussion for four years in school. He sang throughout college and hasn't stopped singing since. He has been a musical director in some shape or form for 10 years in multiple groups. He sings bass and lead with the Northfield Band. Gooch sings in many other groups as well including the singing group Durant with fellow praise team members Amber, Melissa and Stephanie.
Gooch's favorite verse is Matthew 6:34 "Don't worry about tomorrow, it will take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today."
Josh grew up all over Tennessee. He and his wife Dana, have 3 children Callen, Weston, Braelyn, and a 4th baby on the way! They currently live in Hendersonville. Josh says when he and his wife moved to Hendersonville, they agreed to visit all the local churches and take a while to commit to one. It would be the first time Josh would commit to a church not having his father, who is a church of Christ preacher as the minister. Josh recalls “The very first Sunday we moved to Hendersonville, we visited Northfield Church…and never visited anywhere else! It was such a great blessing to us each week and we were constantly reaffirmed over and over by the Holy Spirit that Northfield Church was the place for us.” Josh found his true passion in the 6th grade in music, playing the drums. He poured his heart into practicing and playing the drums until he was 17. At that point, he entered college, began working full time, went to grad school, got married and started having a family. So, his passion of playing drums fell by the wayside.
In Josh’s words “My family is truly blessed to have found Northfield Church and to be welcomed into a place where I can use my talents for the glory of God and to reach others!”

Born March 20th 1958 in East Nashville. Kevin grew up with a love for singing. Kevin says, "I was known as the boy who would sing while walking through the neighborhood streets." At 13 years old, Kevin was the lead singer for a band that found the ear of Nashville's famous Ralph Emery and his side kick Boyce Hawkins. He and his band were invited to participate in a local talent show that Ralph and Boyce were affiliated with. Later in life, after 20 plus years of playing cover tunes in a local band, Kevin was asked by Keith Lancaster, the founder of the singing group Acappella, to sing with him at the Church where Keith led worship and Kevin attended. That invitation was the beginning of Kevin's love and desire to help in any capacity to sing worship songs. Kevin is a most crucial addition to the Northfield band as one of the lead singers. Kevin's positive and joyful energy are also a welcome addition to the Northfield band. He always has a spring in his step and joy on his face.
Kerry started playing piano at the age of 5, taking classical instruction from the same teacher who instructed his mother. While he was taught the discipline of learning by reading sheet music, it was apparent at an early age that he had a “good ear” and could pick out and play most anything he heard. He can play virtually every genre of music and has played in various bands over the years. It wasn’t until his wife Leesa introduced him to one of her co-workers that he discovered the joy of playing praise and worship music in a praise band. Kerry says, “I truly love being a part of the Northfield Praise team and allowing the Spirit to use me in helping our church reach a higher place of connection with our Lord in worship.”
